i got this used turbo from a friend of mine here on 6gc. when i first got it, i remember turning the little compressor wheel to make sure it doesnt get stuck and that theres no shaft play, and it was perfect. ok... so i just came from my backyard cuz i had the turbo on the table and it was GONE! jk. no, it was on a seat and my dad was watering the backyard this morning and he told me that some water landed ON the turbo... so im like, no problem. so i wiped it down to dry it and the i grab it and there's some water IN the turbo............................................. i dunno if to be pissed or what. like, i dunno if thats a bad thing... so the water came out through the compressor wheel and also the housing crap(it came out the openings)... lol. and its completely dry now, like for sure... however, i dunno, i spin the wheel now and it feels a little bit stiffer. i dunno if its just me because my mind is also telling me its supposed to be ****ed up, or i duno if it really is messed up. it doesnt spin as fast as it used to... its 100% dry and maybe it just feels that way to me. but my friend spun it for the first time and he has a turbo on his car and he said it does feel a little stiff. like he said it should spin freely. but then again, my turbo is bigger, so i dunno if thats normal cuz i dont remember how it felt when i first got it. theres still no shaft play, its fine. it just doesnt spin 100% freely without effort. now, im guessing that when the oil lines are connected, the oil will lubricate all that stuff in there and the wheel will spin freely like it used to again... or is there something else i should do to it or did pops really **** it up? thanks.
