QUOTE(forkee @ Jan 9, 2006 - 3:50 PM)

Right now I'm typing this response, talking to 2 people on aim, in an aim chat room, and checking my email all at the same time on my sidekick. I love this thing. No need to connect to any WAP browser. Unlimited Data is constant-on like dsl cept its slow like 56k. (Just need to have regular phone reception). Also people can call without getting a busy (happened a lot when I use verizon's WAP), and when I hang up a call, I can resume everything where I left off without having to dial back into the service. tongue.gif

I would love to get a sidekick since I send 2500+ texts a month, but in my area their coverage BLOWS. And the phone doesn't have bluetooth. Because when it comes time to actually use that thing to make a phone call, it feels like your holding a brick up to your head.

Wired headsets are annoying.

And bluetooth adapters are bulky. It's a heavy little block attached by a string to your phone. Imagine your pockets with the Sidekick and a bluetooth adapter chillin in there..... not fun.

Don't get me wrong, it's a sweet phone and can do a ton of cool things that I like (aim, browse internet) but I do make a lot of calls and spend a lot of time talking, therefore I'd be sacrificing comfort and convenience.

well i mean if ur driving u could put it on the passenger's seat. or the in dash pocket. it doesnt neccessarily have to all be sitting in ur pocket. then all ull have on u is the headset. it does have a pretty long range.

but yea it is pretty bulky. i usually only carry it around to work or school. the rest of the time i leave it at home and just have my razr.

slim phones rawk!

i like my sony z800 its not offered in america yet, i got mne on ebay from hong kong, it has four launguages including english and works with any gsm network. the camera swivles and has the some of the best pics from a phone i have ever seen. but my fav part is the memorystick duo slot, same as the psp and all the new sony cameras, but they make those is up to 2Gs now, but i have a 1G.

plus i have yet to see anybody else with my phone and everyone asks me "what phone is that" lol

I am still thinking about switching to Sprint - i like that phone too.

Ok well I'm definately going to look into Sprint. Fair & Flexible plan for $35 and that phone for maybe $200 and then sell my I850 Nextel for 150.

Ne body interested in a few months old I850?

Z800i .. not a bad phone. supports 3G although we don't have that available yet.. hopefully cingular launches the 3G network soon. our phones can't show their full potential without the 3g network lol
