After doing some comparing, I've found that I LOVE the way the 6GC looks spoilerless (this is on a hatch BTW).

So, later today I'm doing a spoiler delete, and if I've got time I'm going to try to tackle the door bump stops, the door ding bumpers, and the pinstripe. I'd be doing it now but I just got done washing/waxing and am supposed to go help a buddy start tearing down his 94 Trans Am motor.

I just snapped a couple of before pics, after pics will follow and I'll post both at once.

You should have waited to wash and wax until after the spoiler delete door ding and pinstripe removal. That way you can clean and wax where those parts were.

How are you covering up the holes? Weld or FG and bondo?

Can't wait for the before/after pics! Hatchbacks look hot spoilerless.

Got the spoiler off, but it's going to take a while to remove that dang 3m tape stuff. I'm going to have to get a hair dryer on it to make it more mallable.

Didn't get to the pinstripes or bump stops today. That's happening tomorrow though.

Thanks man. A lot of time and effort has gone into those, and now that one's 99% done and the other is getting there I'm starting to turn some of that attention into my Celica.

I got kinda lucky today. I managed to clean up the driver side goo that was left over, and found a nice way to seal the holes while I debate whether or not I want to have it welded/bondo'd and painted or not. I used a couple of GM interior panel retainers I had laying around that snap fit in the hole really nicely, and once in I used a small rubber O-ring to provide some upward force and form a seal so water can't penetrate. There's actually about 1/16-1/8" room between the retainer and hatch surface but the O-ring is stuck in there nice and tight. Doesn't look halfway bad either.

I am having trouble trying to figure out what to do with the rear guide tab hole though. I can't find a retainer with a shaft thickness wide enough to snap into that hole. I don't want to get ghetto fabulous with some tape, but I may have to.

What do you guys and gals think?? How did you seal your holes before having it permanatly sealed?

i used the same stuff as you to fill in the extra holes i had left when i went form my 3 piece spoiler to the gt4 one. if you go to a car parts store, youll find all kinds of sizes you can try.

i wouldnt bother having them welded and painted. it wont be cheap to get done, and you might changed your mind later on and decide you want a spoiler again.

Did you actually find one to cover the guide holes that actually fit?!?!? I'll have to search around harder I guess.

As for the welding/painting.........I haven't decided 100% on that yet. But.........the custom duck tail that Doggy had done and is contemplating making for everyone is something that I was saying to myself yesterday (before I knew about doggy's) would look killer. If I get that, it's getting welded and painted.

u mean the large one on the sides? i found ones that covers it, but dont fit 100%, they just kind of sit there. my spoiler blocks sit ontop of them, so they stay in place. you could always try ising silione sealent on them. should hold them in place perfectly
