For people that are interested in running the MR2T tranny in their swap, you may have noticed many people claiming that their axel pops out because it is too short. Different combinations of inners and outters have been tried with sporatic results. So, for kicks, I took a look at mine to see what was done on the passenger side. Guess, what? When Jamasco did mine, they added a second "thicker section" (sorry I don't know the name of this piece). And then used longer studs to connect the two sections together. Looks OEM and I have had no problems. I will take some pics if anyone is interested.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

burneeed, please take this picture, save it on your hard drive and edit it with paint brush to tell us exactly what you cut. Mark it in blue or some other color than red

------------ NOTE: this picture has already a red 1/2" mark on it that i put in there for a ealier post --------------------

don't know what everyones problem is withthis picture it makes perfect sense.

1/2" metal ring highlighted in red.. cut it off the axle, you then have a 1/2 spacer easy peasy.

Ok im gonna be an idiot here and ask..

im swapping a 3vzfe with its stock e53 (same case and dif spline as e153) out of a 92 es300 (same as a camry v6) early 90s camry/es300 has the same size spline as the celica... can i use the stock axles!?
since im using the motor/tranny combo that matches stock, the carrier bearing lining up ISNT a problem.

i dont think so. it all has to do with the placement of the E-153. because of its particular shape you need a slightly longer axle on the passenger side

if the axle will mount to the stock celica hub, if their splines match, then i think it will work. i dont know if the camry uses a idler bearing like the celica does. i cant remember since i just did a clutch job on a solara
