A couple years ago I had this cool idea for a show car....to have it painted with whatever those white road reflectors are made out of....I dunno if it comes in a paint form BUT...it would be awesome to see a whole car light up white when light its it biggrin.gif

anyone else ever thought about this? I wish it could be done!

good idea for a show car - but not good idea for a daily driver as i think you would get in trouble with the law

never seen any form of paint available to the public like that though

I was searching for something like this & so far i found these reflective beads but i dont think thats what you would want to use on a car lol...then again they are probably tiny...im sure they could be mixed into the paint before hand

but are they green? ehh i wanna see white!

Just paint it chrome, like the E46 BMW M3 that was so popular last year. "Best of Show" guaranteed.

I think it would be cooler to have light a white car, and then have like graphics or vinyls that dont show up unless you have special lighting (maybe black lights). I think that would look pretty cool.

Well there is a new style that some bodyshops do. Its more exspensive, but anyways its a vinyl they lay a vinyl over your whole car, So thats prob, how you could get your car to look like that. But ya if it was just a show car you would be fine but the law would be on you if it was a daily driver.

I used to have my car painted with the type of reflective material that you are looking for, house of Kolor made it, I did this about a year and a half ago biggrin.gif .

My car was black with a design on the sides like the Veilside cars , and the design was in reflective gold.
Basically what it is is a reflective base(silver) that you do your design in and then you go over it with a candy(transparent) color of your choice.

I also tried vinyls although the didn't have anything i found that gave me the reflection I wanted. with the paint you get a reflation similar to that of the designs that are on cops' vehicles- the only difference was that when not under light the vinyl reflective material seemed dull and the paint held it's shine

I also tried the vinyl wraps that cover your whole car- mainly because it was cheaper than a full paint job.
it also was not as glossy as a real paint job, but it was like $800(everything on my car is molded so is was a little higher since it all had to be done in one peicesheet) and you can do any design/graphics you want plus if you ever get in a wreck they keep the design so that that way you can just redo a panel rather that the whole car to get a perfect color match

If anyone is missing NASCAR and it's not on Speed Channel, take a fistful of Skittles, throw them in the toilet and hit the flush handle. Instant NASCAR!!!

My dad had ghost flames on his 56 Ford pickup. It looked cool. You can only see them when the light hits it right. Very old trick.
