Life without the kid = GOOD!!

Life with the kid= BADDD!!

Basically, your screwed once you have a kid. Freedom goes bye bye to parties and what not, or that fun time alone and what not.

your pretty much stuck with the kid, work, kid, sleep, and repeat, repeat, repeat, untill your kids are 18 and over then you finally get some freedom at last,

I am sure glad you aren't my dad.

I will tell you that spending time with my children is the most rewarding part of my life. Moms and Dads need breaks too but for the vast majority of my vacations I would much rather go on a week vacation with my kids than without them.

In terms of keeping the spark, I think make sure you: (1) listen to her closely; (2) empathize which she is emotional; (3) maintain eye contact when she is talking to you; (4) touch her in tender, non-sexual ways often; and (5) don't be a speedy gonzales in bed.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

my life with my kid is great. im happier then ever.i wake up to my lovely wife and kid every morning. i guess all the attention i use to give my wife isnt all there like it used to be. most of it goes to my son. i want to do something special for her. she is the love of my life but its not really showing rite now. i want to show her im sorry. someone told me this would happen but never thought it would. im trying now...no im doing it now slowly. i give more attention now than i did before so im workin on it. it'll take time...

sex life?? i do whatever it takes to get the job done!! lol...

I'm sure she is really happy to be with you b/c it sounds like you are a good, attentive Daddy. That is special to her at this stage in you marriage, so I am sure she is not thinking in her head that you are not giving her enough attention. Yeah, sounds like your focus has switched to the child, but isn't this natural, esp. at such a young age. I think things will get better, esp. as the child gets older and what not.

do something compleatly random, take advantage of that fack things are getting a little dull, like forget her birthday, may be hard if she reminds you all the time, but try and get her to think you forgot all about it then (if its a day she has to work) show up like right before her lunch at her work and take her away for the rest of the day, with or without the kid, (would have to plan with her boss, etc.) take her for a great drive, to a senic spot for a quite nice lunch, a walk, have a big plan for the rest of the day or even days if you can.

try and find out things about yourself that she knows (like little habbits or things you would never do) then do it, change it, let her know your not just setting into a gruve, and want to keep things interesting. chances are you know her better then anyone, so you really gata think about what she likes and go from there.

going on a romantic date is probalby the least exspensive date you can go on, because romance is not something you can buy, like a sunset walk, or a long drive though the senic backroads. however involving some flowers or a small teddy bear is always a plus.

Your married right, if you have videos of the wedding how about putting the baby to sleep one night, cuddling up on the couch, a few candels lit in the background, and watching em, with something light to eat.

chances are that regardless of the place, the time, or how much fun you have if you go the extra mile to show her a good time and that after all thoes years you still love her as much as the day you said "I Do" there is no way she would not be thrilled with you.

~ my 2 cents.....

be completely unpredictable. Thats always worked for me, lol. For example, i was coming home from work the other night and called and asked my soon-to-be wife if she wanted me to pick her anything up to eat. She said she wasnt hungry, and i told her I was gonna get her something anywayz. She argued she didnt want anything. So i swung by Mcdonalds and ordered 20 cheeseburgers, and 10 orders of fries. The look on her face was absolutely hilarious but it did make her laugh, and we were both in a good mood the rest of the night. She didnt eat any of them though...so now we gotta fridge full of mcdonalds...lol...im just kind of a spontaneous person. (doing things like this does add up in $$ fast though, lol)

never take things really seriously. When me n her hang out i talk with a stupid accent and we just screw around. She got a new bed and we spent like 40 min just jumpin on it..lol..like we have tickel fights, we go walking in the water of the lake here in the middel of the winter when theirs ice, we just always screw around and never do any thing thats really serious..lol. But it helps, but it comes and goes. There are high times, and then we hit our lows.

First let me say.. you have such a beautiful child. smile.gif

Second, I would have to agree with EVERYTHING creis had to say. If a guy did that for me, he would have me for life.

My recent relationship.. that is basically on the verge of ending.. has failed because of lack of romance. I guess all of that ended because we moved in together.. and saw each other everyday. It seemed like everyday was routine. Change is good. Especially romantic change.
