thats horrible luck there, makes me apprectiate i live in a decent area. just curious, when your car got vandalized, was that before any modifications? if so i can see why you stuck with the gt wheels after that. i just noticed it had amber sidemarkers in that pic. nice civic, but i hope you get a 6 again... there just so much sexier. smile.gif

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

Wow scary story - especially the part about the deer since 4 deer just about did the same thing to mine a few nights ago. The ending was especially sad - the part about you getting the civic biggrin.gif j/k.

Welcome to the site. wink.gif

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

Thanks for welcoming me everyone even though I don't have the Celica anymore.

If you want a Celica, I'm looking to trade for a Civic hatch. Let me know.

wh...wh...what did you say? we have a honda lover here amongst us, time to get the pitchforks and clubs! na i agree honda is just as good as toyota in terms or reliability, overall quality, but styling... hell no. smile.gif all hondas look way too generic for my tastes.

i went to one of those mega meets; huge turnout!

mine was one of 2 six gen's there, there was another yellow 6g with lipkit.

was good fun

im over in springfield

Not far away at all and thanks for the support. We had a lot of problems because the meets do have huge turnouts and hopefully the 2006 season will be a little less stressful.

Thanks for the offer man. I actually will not sell the hatch because when I do get a new car, the hatch is going to be transformed into just a track car.

It is a PasswordJDM intake which is an exact copy of the J's Racing intake, just a lot cheaper in price but not quality.

I am sorry that I cannot give you all the info about the motor that was swapped in due to not really knowing that much about it. I was more focused on other things while I was modding the Celica and put my trust into a local shop of mine that was owned by some very close friends to build the motor for me. It started off as a 7A-FE block and head that was fully built with custom internal engine parts manufactured by their machinist. They had never worked on the 6th gen Celica until mine and it was a learning experience. The JDM 3S-GE and 3S-GTE swap was not popular at all back then for the 6th Gen and we had to make due with what resources were available. Dont get me wrong, the new motor was incredibly strong for naturally apsirated but the 3S-GTE just has a lot more room to expand power wise due to it being a turbo motor from the factory.

They were not real TRD seats but copies. I know that the real TRD seats are manufactured by Recaro and run around $1400 for the pair but I have only seen 2 sets in person and they are gorgeous. Here is what the 2 sets that I have seen look like....

Actually it is a 1996 JDM Type-R (B18C) with intake, header, and exhaust tuned with Hondata putting down 184whp and 129wtq. I actually was racing for Quality Tire in the comp4 class for 2 seasons but stopped because she is also my daily driver and I could not take the chance of breaking parts anymore. My best times so far are....

13.066@102.02mph in the quarter / 8.20@82.16mph in the eighth

I am also very close with John, Jeremy, Matt and Stan at inlinePRO; Norris, Jason and Loan at Ultimate Performance; Martin, Johnathan and the rest of the guys at The Speed Factor; Robbie and Matt at RedSH!FT; James and Jeremy at Promotion Tuning.

Currently I am getting the body work finished and then she is going in to get painted Renaissance Red. Then I am hoping to sell her because the Toyota blood stills runs though my veins.

That was the original plan but after putting a lot of thought into it, I honestly do not want the Civic anymore. I also own a 2004 RSX Type-S that I purchased not too long ago....

The day I brought her home from the dealership:

After I did some work to her:

Wow, I see deer-car collisions all the time around here and I've never heard of a deer-rear quarter collison that caused the back end to kick out. That ****er must've clocked you hard... that or you freaked out (who wouldn't). I guess you learn something new everyday. Sucks. Did two of them hit it? Why are there two dents back there?

There is a possibility that more than one deer ran into me but I am not 100%. However, when I swerved to the right, I might have lost traction in the rear with the dirt and gravel on the side of the road after the deer collided with me. I have no luck with deer because a doe came out of the woods and ran smack into the side of my front driver side fender of the Civic. So now that is going in for body work and a fresh paint job. biggrin.gif

Just an update for everyone....

I no longer own the civic but I stayed true to what I said about the toyota blood still running through my veins. I went out and picked up my dream car. Here is a teaser pic until I get more....
