hey eveyone, i was just wondering if anybody has 18x8.5" wheels on a celica st205? im looking at buying some wheels but they are 8.5" wide. wanted to know if anyone has them that wide and what, if any mods had to be done to the car to make them fit.
im sick of searching for rims for my car and just being dissapointed that they dont fit.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

yeah the offset that they are going to give me is going to be either 35 or 40. i told the guy to give me 40 but i'll see what they give me. i was also told that i might have to roll the fenders. if it means i have to do that, i guess i will.

35mm would be perfect for a normal 6gc.
I'm assuming it the same for a GT-4.

the st205 has different struts and suspension so i think i actually have more room than a normal 6gc does. im just basically worried about steering and if it is gonna rub when i turn.

I run 18x8's with no issues.

8.5s should fit, but I have to ask why.

well, i went to a car show and put a down payment on a set of rims that the guy said they came in 8 wide. come to find out they only make them in 8.5 wide. this was unfortunatley the third set of rims that i was trying to fit on the car, and i was sick of trying.
so i figured i would ask the opinions of you guys.

depending on the offset they should fit

if your right around a 35 +/- a few mm you should be fine

Ah, understood. Bummer.

I went through a set of Racing Harts trying to find a rim that would clear the calipers. frown.gif

Has anyone tried Subaru STi rims? It'll clear the calipers for sure, but will it rub?
