I had to drive an hour and half to meet beastman for the sale of my sideskirts. The night before, I filled up my car. When I came back...I was on empty. Almost dead out. It was only 180-200 miles put on the car during that trip. So today, I was thinking about the possible problems that could be contributing to my crappy gas mileage... The first thing I thought about was the O2 sensor. My car burns oil and maybe the residue was clogging up the sensor or something. I took it out, and here is what it looked like.
![]() This is after I took a wire brush to it and cleaned it the best I could. The white charred marks were a lot thicker. Also, towards the base of the sensor (closest to the flange) was a thick black gunky residue that came off. My question is, should this be replaced or would cleaning it help out? Or make it worse..? Thanks in advance, Steve -------------------- ![]() |
