a while ago i got a ticket for running a red light and i was caught by the cameras. i ended up paying around $380 and having to attend a day long traffic school which cost me another $50. i thought it was all over with and that i had gotten my one stupid mistake out of my system, and had gotten the ticket whiped off of my record with the traffic school. today i get a letter in the mail from the supierior court of san diego. according to them i failed to appear in court or post my bail for the ticket. so as im reading this letter im thinking to myself, i know i paid the bail because i remember writing the check, and of course i did because i went to traffic school afterwards. so as i read on i come to a paragraph that tells me that my license has been suspended. WHAT THE F**K!!! not only did i do everything i was supposed to the first time i got the ticket, but i wasted an entire saturday at traffic school so my record would be clean.
so i read on and i get to the part where it tells me i can appear in court and plead not guilty. and im thinking, is this a joke? do they send out a bunch of letters to people they think "might not have paid" and then tell them to come to court if they actually paid but the court F'd up and forgot to mark their ticket paid.
and then at the very bottom of the page it says. failure to appear in court will lead to the revoke of your license, the siezure of your vehicle, your credit score will be altered for not posting bail and a few more that were complete bull.
and in nice bold letters on the top of the page it says BAIL: $710 as if i had not already given the city enough of my money by paying for the ticket the first time.

so i guess tomorow i will wake up bright and early tomorow morning and give the city of san diego superior court a phone call
