about 2 months ago...I was enjoying my music on the way to frisco. Because of the long drive + music + heater turned on...i believe it over-heated in the car a lot, which resulted in several stuff not working. Power to the deck stopped(the wire when the key is in the ignition), clock, power mirrors adjuster switch, and cigarette lighter no longer work. I was able to tap the power from my deck directly to the battery. But the clock and cig lighter still dont work. I think basically...there is no power to anything when key is in "acc" position. I checked the fuse box and everything was fine. Anyone have any ideas what might be the problem? I dont want to take it to the shop and be charged just to find out it was something small...

Check wires, make really sure there are no frays or exposed wires. This can be very time consuming and tedious (believe me, i had short once and had to track its ass down) but the fact that none of the fuses were blown is weird. Check the box in the dash and the 2 boxes in the engine bay just to be sure.

take it to autozone and get your alternator and battery checked for free.
