 Any one been to Nice, France?? |

Has any one been there? Im planning a trip for my gf and I for our 1.5 Year aniversary b4 i go away to school. We were trying to find some where nice to go, some where its not gonna be to crowded, somewhere warm and some where with good food. So i figured, why not Nice. French food is always sooooo good, its right on the Med, its not overly crowded, and its got a mix of an old town and a new city. Any ways, any one been there? Any thing we should/shouldn't do?? Recomendations of places to go, things to do, things to eat? Also, any one been to Avingon? We are planning to fly into Charles De Gaul(Paris), buy a french rail pass, take a train from Paris to Lyon, then to Nice. And we will have 4 days of unlimited travel in France, so we are thinking of going to Avingon one day aswell.

Havn't been there, but I did go to London and Barcelona this month and it was awesome. Go find a Lonely Planet guide book for either France or the area you are going to, I think they are the best.

I have been in France last summer, but not Nice. Only Paris and north of the France (Normandy), but belive me, I saw some pictures of Nice and it's beautiful...

i've been... i went all over france this past summer.... it was great... I still prefer Paris though

well, as of today, im officialy going to Nice. I booked my flight for rediculusly cheap into Paris, then im going to be taking a train from Paris to Lyon then to Nice, staying in Nice for 12 days, then spending 3 nights/2 days in Paris again and im home.

if i were you i would be out on a boat as much as possible... but maybe im just saying that because im on the sailing team and i sail every other day... but that water looks inviting
