So, after much argueing and much debate, my parents decided its time for me 2 get a new car b4 i go 2 school. They want me 2 get somethin newer, within the last 3 or 4 years. So, ive been searching around with what i could get, what options i could get, what i need, what i want..etc.

So, ive figured, i want somethin small, light, fun as hell to drive, good on gas, and maybe turbo or supercharged. Ive always wanted a turbo car. Any ways, so with my new job and with what my car has been appraised for, ive narrowed it down to 5 cars. So, im thinking of

MKIV Golf GTI 1.8T (1999.5-2005), 2DR
IPB Image

Echo Hatchback 3DR with a TRD superchager...figure ill buy the echo and then buy the supercharger afterwards
IPB Image

2006 Yaris RS 3DR
IPB Image

2003 Subaru WRX non STI
IPB Image

Matrix XRS 6spd with the factory Aero kit
IPB Image

EDIT: Forgot to add 2000-2005 RSX Type-S

*if you vote for RSX, just add it in your reply*

So, what do you think??

I'd go with that Echo all the way man. I wouldn't mind having one myself. They are called Vitz in Japan, and I guess they've built up a few over there. There was a big artical on a nice one in Super Street a while back. I'm going to look at that car a little harder myself.

EDIT: Dang it, we don't get the Hatch Echo Sport down here in the states. I'm getting so irritated at living here. From what I've read so far, it's about the same thing as an Scion xA. I just wish it was offered in a 2 door like the Echo Sport Hatch.

RSX, or WRX. You won't be disappointed with either. Especially after driving a Celica. The WRX's interior isn't as good as the RSX, but it's not front wheel drive, so that's a plus. And bug-eyes rock! But the RSX is extremely moddable.

I will say RSX because it is easy to mod and has Honda reliability. After that then the VW.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

Um, why are your parents making you get a new car? If it ain't broke don't fix it.

the 1.8t is the best option on that list for a daily driver because of the modability, with the chip, it becomes so nice for a daily driver, chip + boost gauge and youve got a fun little car that still gets high 20's city gas mileage

They are making me get a new car becuase in sept im moving roughly 4 hours away for school. Im gonna be on a tight budget, so they want me 2 have somethin reliable so if it breaks, it will be under warrenty or it will be cheaper to fix. Up here, parts for the celi are hard 2 come by and are usually expensive. Case and point..i need to replace my sway bar end links..cheapest ive found..$93 each and they have to be ordered in from the next province over.

So it'd be cheaper to spend thousands of dollars on a brand new car than shelling out the occasional hundred or so for a repair on a car that's already really reliable? I think you need to put this into perspective, dude. Your celica is waaaaay cooler than any car on that list.

i agree with creamed corn, celica would be much better then the money your about to spend on any of these other cars. With that being said, i would vote for the RSX over any of those others. Its not even in the same class as those chic cars. Ive always been a HUGE fan of the RSXs and the potential it has.
