Heys guys and gals, am chasing a little help.
Has anyone out there mounted guages IN (not on) the dash above the glove box. Have seen a few custom jobs (not on celicas though) where the dash itself has been able to have the mounting holes (and I pressume the guages mounting bracket through the main support) drilled through the dash and are flush with the dash face. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. On this mounting way or any other mounting that doesn't require pillar mounts (don't like the lack of vision it creates). BTW, guages required to mount are boost, a/f, and oil pressure, so the single din unit won't be usable. Thanks all! |

Okay, here ya go...
here is CELICAKIDD324 gauge setup (you can see how she mounted the pods below the pass. air bag): ![]() Here is another option doGGy is producing: ![]() I am also thing of doing something like a dash mount pods once i swap...i think they look a lot better than pillers. I'll probably just go for doGGy's shift boot setup, it is pretty nice! here is a ton more info on doGGy's setup: http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=34599&hl= ~snap edit: Click this to get a better/bigger pic of CELICAKIDD324's setup: http://www.6gc.net/photo.php?file=/images/...otos/1835_2.jpg This post has been edited by snapshotgt: Mar 28, 2006 - 12:35 PM -------------------- Past: V6 Swapped 6G Celica, E46 BMW M3, Jeep Wrangler TJ

All the molded pod mounts are aimed at the LHD market so that restricts me a little. Yellowfox, yeh that does look hot, but doesn't I need to get the likes of boost and a/f guages in, so that setup won't be able to be used. |
