Just wondering if anyone with 6gc competes in SQ class, because I need some advise on my feature setup.
Here's what I am planing on doing:

>MidBass (JBL 8") in the doors (dynomat all around)
>MidRange (MbQuart Premiums) in kick's
>Tweeters (MbQuart Premiums) up where the side mirrors are at
>Sub in the back as I already have it there

I am not 100% sure on where I should put my tweets yet. Well tell me what you think.
And if any one has pics of kick's in celica please post wink.gif cuz I am thinking on making me a pair but not sure if I really want to have them because celi is my daily driver.
Thank you

blue tak or double sided tape and try the tweeters in several positions.

I personally have mine in the kickpanels angled towards top of gear shift. Running a two-way focal utopia set though.

thats where i have mine, i think they sound the best there. i tired them in different spots and they eneded up in the kicks. on another note focal utopia is one hot set of speakers. hope you enjoy them.

How do you have your tweeters mounted in your kickpanels?

Flush mounting will only work if you do some modification to the kicks since there will be next to no angle to the tweeters if you just cut a hole and chuck the tweeter in.

i have custom kicks for 1 inch tweet and 6 inch mid and have an 8inch mid-bass driver in the door. before i had kicks i used surface mounted with angled cup. before i made kicks i tried the flush mount with a slight wedge to give it an angle. it worked ok but not the best.

You want to mount the tweeters about the same distance from your ears as the rest of the speakers to preserve good stereo imaging. That's why Afroman's setup is probably very effective.

Cool that would be really nice wink.gif
After talking to my friends and listening to some MbQuart Premiums (which by the way have really good mids) I dont know if I want to do the whole in-door subwoofer thing. But we'll see cuz the summer isn't here yet smile.gif
