So, i just bought my celi this saturday, and it already has started to accumulate damage. The small dent came from my girlfriends mother, who had a little too much to drink, and decided to have some fun. Im a new stickshifter, so i was reversingly slowly, and shes like "get going" and pushes my car, above the wheel well with her foot... BAD IDEA. theres now a small ding/dent thing there. Nothing huge, but the light relfeclts off it differently. Then, driving home from my gf's place the following morning... a small pebble flew up and nailed my windshield. Wow, bad start. Anyways, ive included a picture of the winshield, but am currently trying to photograph the dent in such a way that it shows up on my camera. What I want from you guys is to know what you have done in theses situations... should i repair my windshield (ie, get the crack filled), and should i attempt to hammer out teh dent myself (again, its very small.... i dont wanna have to sand//paint). Any advice would be awesome, but keep in mind im a poor university student.
justin Alright. I decided the best way to show the dent was to invert the picture. Its easier to see the distortion of the reflection. Crack from inside car: ![]() Crack from outside car: ![]() Inverted picture of dent:
