i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

I like the looks of it. Way better looking than the miata and solstice. I bet the SC redline will cost 25k. I think 29 might be a bit high for saturn

Racing a honda (insert Saturn) is like the special olympics. Even if you win, your still retarted.

Its still one of the fastest production vehicles under $30,000 and great looks. If I didn't need a back seat, it would be near the top of my list. As it is, I am going to wait for the new IS convertible.

it's better than racing someone while driving a celica.

the Saturn Sky is pure sex. the Redline is just moreso pure sex than the normal one.

4 Cyl!! They all end up that in the end(V8). Alluminum block 4
oil eater from hell. That is a sweet ass Vega. Camero split, is wicked,
in 39 years I have never seen such a beast. The Vega body is a classic
no doubt, the stock four blew. (unless u were lucky enough to have a Cosworth.

my friend has a redline (no idea if its the first version of this^^), there not bad and pretty quick, however sooo many problems.. his car has been in the shop like 4 times and one more time and he gets a new car.. the cat melted first which is surprising and hes had problems with the tranny, saturn should not make sports cars imo

Ah, the good ol' Iron Duke!

The Sky redline does look pretty nice; how come the solstice looks like crap when it's almost the same thing? Goes to show what a few tasteful accents can do.

yeah, saturns are typically cheap cars and you get what you pay for, but I have a feeling that the Sky will be better quality for a couple of reasons 1) GM is in the ****ter and needs as much as it can get 2) this is prolly the 2nd or first most expensive car they have and they want to sell alot and what i saw at th NAIAS its interior was way better than the solstice for.

As for the redline, your friend has the Ion Redline. Supercharged, Im not a fan of Ions and I think I have seen just 1 Ion redline on the road, thouhg I have seen a few Cobalt SS's.... GM is trying to make a comeback, and I think with styling like the SKY they are on the right track

I wouldn't worry about the build quality of the Sky. The Sky is to a Solstice what a Firebird was to a Camaro. A higher class version.

About the Motor, that GM Ecotec 4 is a helluva motor. The stock bottom end on that thing has already proven to support upwards of 700 HP. It's a freaking tank.

And I just saw a Sky on the road a couple of days ago (a perk of living just a couple hours from the plant in DE where the Solstice/Sky are built). It was a steel blue with a tan top (didn't go well), and dang sexy.

The STOCK bottom end of the ecotec can handle upwards of 700hp? For how long? 0.9 seconds before all four rods shatter? Ya sure there's not some internal upgrades going on there? I'm not doubting it can handle a lot; I've heard some impressive things about it, but 700hp seems a little high. I have an uncracked aftermarket rod for a smallblock dodge sitting right here that's good for about 800 ponies and I think it's a little more stout than what they put in a cavalier:
