Hi, I just got my new GT4 and put on my old GT's 18' alloys (225/65ZR18 I think). The rears fit no problems, but when I put the fronts on, there was a clearance issue with the callipers. They fitted OK (Just about! less than an mm space between the calliper and the inside of the wheel), so I took off the handbrake and rolled the car back and forward to determine if they were scraping on the callipers. The front right was not, but on the front left there was a tiny amount of paint coming off the inside of the wheel, and the slightest amount of paint transferred onto the calliper (Actually the 'Celica' logo on the calliper was slightly scraped).
After about 30 mins of should I/shouldn't I take it out for a test drive, I did. Everything was fine, until after about 5 mins I noticed a funny sound when I took a sharp left turn at speed. I figured it would be the brake calliper somehow touching, but it wasn't. Then I thought it may be the wheel touching the inner arch (Even though on my lowered GT they never touched), but it wasn't that either. Not sure what it is (Hoping it's not the dreaded Fig 8's!!) Sorry it’s long winded, but anyone have any ideas?? -------------------- 1996 UK white ST205
