Why do my fans come on when I turn the key on? 3rd gen int an st. I am sure I will have lots of stupid little questions, but I know you guys could probably point me in the right direction a little faster. thanks lance

mine does too...it stays on constantly till i take the key out. it doesnt bother me...should it? i can't see how it could be bad.

whoever did your wiring probably did it that way on purpose to prevent overheating. the only negative i see to that is that you don't need the fan unless you are not moving, thus when you are on the freeway it is taking electricity. but i don't think you should worry about it.

there is a temp sensor on the radiator that controls when the fans come on. if you dont have the sensor connected, the fans stay on all the time. plug in the sensor and the problem will go away.

The sensor is pluged in.. must mean that it is bad. thanks lance
