im washing my car since its been awhile, i start to dry it and suddenly i noticed someone keyed my passenger side mad.gif . should i try rubbing compound or just use some touch up paint? id go through my insurance but they already up my rate so i might try it myself. scratch is 4 feet long.

I hate it when people mess with cars man. I feel what your going through. It really depends on how deep it is. If its deep i would just use touch up paint you have a black car so it would be pretty hard to see that there is diff paint. Hope you get it fixed.

if its not too deep try using turtle wax with a chip stick... that may help you have to purchase the black colour wax though, i have a black car and i had a mild scratch in the front it helped although you may need to do it regulary, best thing is get it repainted... -R

i hate it when people do this! when i bought my car last summer it had no scratches but after i was hired at my work, i started noticing long scratches on my driving side. after a while when i started school and work, i noticed more and more so i dont know what people's problem are but scratching car is gonna make u cool? i think not! gosh mad.gif

jeff..use rubbing compound man. I had some retard try and turn around me at the drive in just after i got my car and left some nice scratches on my passanger side 1/4 pannel. Used some rubbing compound, took some time and elbow grease..95% of the scratches came out with no marks left on the car. If that doesnt work, use that turtle was scratch fix stuff that DSRT-FX was talkin about. my sis uses it on her car all the time cuz shez a crappy driver and it works wonders.

just get it buffed. if tha doesnt take it out then it will need to be repainted.
