I just came back from seeing 2f2f. They had SOOO many tight a$$ cars. The SKYLINE and the SUPRA kicks A$$. Well i dont really know how to rate the plot, b/c i really just wanted to see the cars and races. So i was satisfied w/ that. Except that they didnt show the SKYLINE enough
  Ok the REAL reason i posted this thread is b/c i want to know HOW IN THE WORLD THEY MADE FLAMES COME OUT OF THE EXAUST??? Not like F&F just as they rev'd up, but throught out an enitre race??? I liked that   Sorry if anyone here thinks that is RICE but i really dont care it tight!!! DUCE |

i just got back tonight from seeing it.
Not too impressed. 1st 1 was better IMO. Yes, the Skyline kicked ass!!!! But, the other cars?? BLAAAAA!!!! The pink S2000 was nasty. -------------------- Jared Harwell

hehehe flames out the tailpipes.
 My dad told me how he riged a freind's car in the 60's to do that. He took a couple pipes slighlty larger than the exhaust an mounted them around the exits of the pipes. He tapped the pipes to take a spark plug and mounted that and used a device that he said 'buzzed' (make and break contact quickly) to supply a spark to the plugs. This only worked because it was on a 427 with dual holleys that was running really rich, thus the large amount of unburn fuel and no cats... the extra oxygen added through the gaps around the pipe that was at the tail of the car. Oxygen + fuel + spark = flame.Problem with any modern car is that unburnt fuel does not leave the tailpipe, damn efficiency!!! You would have to provide the fuel. I have seen some kits that do this, but if you want to do it yourself you could put a couple tanks of butane in the trunk and run some lines down to the tailpipes. You would have to ignite it somehow with an autoigniter from a bar-b-q maybe, hehehe. Sorry I can't even type this without laughing. It would be so Ghetto... |

They make flamethrower kits for all types of cars....all you do is hit a switch and it trows big flames out the ass. I personally think its really stupid on imports.....but it looks kinda neat when you see it on old roadsters or something......but hey, it would be pretty funny to see it on a celica or something.

My dad tricked out a VW beetle to shoot flames. He's got pics of it too. I guess he just got a propane tank in the back seat, and tied it into the exhaust and had a sparker at the tail pipe. Kinda funny one a VW beetle tho.

Come on now ! the 2 main cars in there was the eclipse and the EVO. Why couldn't they have used better cars? like the new 350 zx or something

Because I'm guessing the EVO and the Eclipse get riced out a lot more than a 350Z would. But also, they choose what cars are in the movie depending on what companies give them. All those Dodges, it's just there because Dodge donated all them because they wanted the advertisement.

True that - the DSMs suck balls. Eclipse's have no balls whatsoever even if u did put a turbo in it. The EVO is rated 276 HP and turbo'd would be well into 320-340 hp range and that damn Eclipse is keeping up?
Oh yeah, can we possibly use nitrous a little more? -------------------- |

um, all evo's are turbo from the factory. the saddest thing about the movie is that ALL of the main cars are stock under the hood. they dont even have the nitrous systems hooked up. the 3rd gen eclipse has the option of a sohc v6 engine that used to go into the base model 3000gt. they have approx. 180hp, i havent seen the movie but if the eclipse and the evo really raced, the evo would kill it i might go and see that movie soon today to avoid the crowds wait, the truely saddest thing is what they did to the skyline. every one knows that what makes the r34 stand out is the 4ws and atessa awd, well they removed both systems for the movie. -------------------- 1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition

it was an Evo VII GSR.

The sad thing is, most people that see the movie would take the eclipse over the EVO because well if you had no idea about cars you probably wouldn't think that the 4 door would be faster than the "sportier" looking eclipse. I have finally given up bitching about F&F 2 because it really has nothign to do with street racing (the first one was already a huge stretch). You have to think of it as an action movie where the gimic is the cars rather than gunfights, superheros, etc.. Flashy cars and flamming exhausts look "kewl" to joe public. I have to go see it anyway because I love cars so a car movie is required, regardless of inaccuracies PLUS i love Paul Walker and his $hity acting! Cars with stickers and rapper actors! They shoulda named this movie "Cliche"! Yo at least a Mustang gets run over. |
