Hello everyone, while my celica is gettin a 3s thrown into it, i need to take this time to purchase the whole front end of the gt4 (bumper, fogs, lights and hood scoops) from ToyotaWorld. I believe they are the only place you can really go to get these other than japan. I dont need a hood cuz im gettin that from Varis. Anyways, i know several of you have dealt with ToyotaWorld before and perhaps talked to "Jeff Watson". If i call him up and ask him to get me the GT 4 setup, will he know what im talking about. Maybe you guys can tell me how that process goes over there. I only have all the part numbers off this web site. Also do i have to pay for shipping from ToyotaWorld to my house?? Any info really be much appreciated!!

Jeff will hook you up. Just call him. If I were you, I would order the bumper locally from your Toyota dealer so you don't have to pay for shipping. Just use the part-number and tell them that you can get it at toyota world or partznet for 20% off. Good luck. You may also want to talk to Jason at Toyota Des Moines. Great to work with but he can only get about 70% of the things for the GT4 front end. He will bend over backward for you though.

Why would my local toyota dealership be able to get the 205 bumper and nothing else?? I already went in there and they said they needed a vin number to get any jdm parts...Also, will toyotaworld be able to get 100% of the items needed to make the conversion possible? Thanks

I have tried walking into the local Toyota dealership around me(with all the part numbers) and last time they gave me the old "you need a vin number along with all the parts numbers and maybe it will work, but no one has ever tried it ordeal" Well now i have my st205 clip and have a vin number, but i still find it hard to believe that i could be the first person to ever order JDM parts from that dealership. Our dealership is called Wilde Toyota and its a HUGE dealership, it may actually be the biggest in the midwest. I really hope it works but im seriously doubt it. I havent contacted jeff from toyotaworld or jason from Toyota Des Moines because once again im gonna try my local one. Im hoping Des Moines can hook me up so i can just drive down there and avoid some crazy shipping charges.. Has anyone ordered a number of parts from either of those place such as a gt4 front end and know what the shipping charge was?
I am also havin a hard time finding engine parts like timing belt and water pump and etc. Can these places get those things too or do you need the part number.. thanks again Ryan This post has been edited by Baddica95: May 3, 2006 - 3:22 PM |

I ordered half of the parts from Toyota World and half from Toyota Des Moines. Shipping from Des Moines was FREE because Jason personally delivered the parts! I doubt he would do that to Milwaukee, though. However, he does offer free shipping on things that can be sent by UPS. Its just things like the hood and bumper that need to be shipped freight that there will be an extra charge. Just call these guys and see what they can do for you. -------------------- QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this. |

Do you need to have an official hook up that works at toyota? i just walked in to my regular dealership and got them to order the stuff from tha part numbers. 90% of it comes up in their computers as valid part numbers. they tried to tell me the same "i dont know if it will come in crap" ... but i just convinced them to order it and everything showed up. the big problem with these local places is that the workers are lazy and dont feel like going out of their way to help a person out. go there in person and tell him that EVERY toyota dealer can get this stuff (excet for the turn signals and the hood vents, i think ). tell him "i want to spend some money, and you dont want it? " EDIT, come to think of it, your probably better off calling and shipping the stuff. why? because normal dealerships try to charge you a marked up "list price", while the other places will charge you the normal NET Price. so it might end up better to have it shiped. you can also ask if maybe they can drop ship to your local dealer and you can pick it up there. well i just got off the phone with jason and he was able to get me everything for the front bumper except for the fogs and fog bezels...and i also want to put in a plug for him that he wants everyone to know that he has a gt4 hood in his warehouse without any of the vents...
Im gonna call jeff now and see if he can hook me up with just the fogs/bezels and jdm fenders...wish me luck! Ryan Oh P.S. i went to my local dealership today (with a vin) and they said they still couldnt help me, the number didnt come up or some crap...
