Im getting some wheels/rims very soon and looking for some suggestions. I am getting 16' because i dont wanna get 17's and lower my car. I have about 650 for just the rims. What kinda wheels do you all think would look good on a red celica? I was thinking maybe about rota slipstreams. Pictures would be nice if you got them. Please Help!

There's a special at tirerack.com for Sport Edition Fox 2 in 16"s for 99 bucks..not bad at all. If you want to max out your budget though, typically Enkei keeps everyone happy and looking good.

Everyone has rs6's redface.gif

I'd go with something dark like a gun metal. How much are you willing to spend? Looking new or also maybe used. If used my friend always knows someone selling their rims. Might help since you wouln't have to spend on shipping.

Get Some WHITE rims they would look sweet on your red celi. Id go with 17's though and not 16's. My Konig Rated-R were 1300 with tires liek a year ago with a 40% discount, so im sure you could find them now for around 600-700!

I have 18" Edge concept 7 wheels. Sure it seems like EVERYONE has these rims but I still think they are the best looking wheels ever made.

I want some Konig Rated-Rs for that price! biggrin.gif Seriously though, Konig Rated-R rims are some of the best looking rims available today. I think they look a lot like Volk TE-37s, but at 20% of the cost. smile.gif

Yea I got mine at a good price I think 1300 with toyo tires, sounded good to me but, im not sure how they have dropped in price ya know. A guy told me the other day the were cheap and he could get them for around 100 a piece and I was like ooooooooooooooooook but then i started thinking I wasnet sure but I wouldnt think they are that cheap yet. Casue usually rims only go down to a certain price and then they jsut quit making them, ya know. Well hell he drive a HONDA CIVIC, what does he know lol lol lol lol!

I got a causin that worked at a custom auto body shop and he told me that, when a company comes out with a new version of rims the good down in price by like 20 30% and when the stop making the rims the go down even more.

Yea but have you ever noticed that lots of times rims become discontinued just like tires do?

Keep the 6th gen.
eventhough this sound like bull**** there are actually alot more mods for the 6th gen than that 7th gen... at least performance wise.

The only stuff that the 7th gen has over the 6th gen is styling modifications.
Also the 1zzfe & 2zzge have a hard time holding together for very long even at low boost so there won't be alot that you can do with any kind of turbo upgrade that won't blow your head gasket within a year... and that's not cheap to fix..unless you can do it yourself but its not easy.

Also the supercharger for the 7th gen is crap. I tried this on my g/f's 7th gen and there was almost no noticable difference..we ended up sending it back.

Also you shouldn't have too much trouble selling a lowered car. Expessially if your scene is just starting to blow up. I used to buy piece of **** cars and do basic mods to them and sell them for 3x's what there worth...made a killing!!!
