Hi guys,

I'm coming over from Ireland to NY in June and was wondering if the NYers here have any advice on good places to go or things to do. Perhaps there are some car events around that time? I'm open to pretty much anything. I'll be spending my first week downtown (near Washington Square) and then I'm going to head out to stay with some friends who live in Yonkers for a weekend.

Really looking forward to visiting the USA biggrin.gif

NYC is a must. Central Park, Battery Park, the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building - the normal sight seeing stuff.

Hey dude, lived here in the city almost all my life. Sight seeing is more fun with people. I suggest trying times square, check out some shops etc, look for a good restaurant too, if you like thai food, theres a great place near toys r us. Head down to canal and check out chinatown and little italy biggrin.gif Always a great place to buy cool stuff for cheap (especially in chinatown) while your there, go to a tea place in elizabeth center in canal and try yourself some bubble tea biggrin.gif There are a lot more places if your interested.

have a safe travel and have fun

Thanks for all the reponses guys.. good advice smile.gif I will print out some of those directions and places, and will take them with me! Before I meet up with my friends out in Yonkers, I will be in the city with some people from college. Whether or not I go sighseeing with them I'm not sure, but even if I'm on my own I'm sure it will still be amazing..

I've wanted to go to NY all my life, and now that it's finally happening I'm really excited biggrin.gif

Must keep an eye out for the US Celicas as well!! some great examples over there..
