my daily driver is a 98 accord now- and not going to lie, its a really nice car imo. If i were to swap my celi for somthing similar and realistic from honda, a 5th gen prelude any day over my celica.

very good selection...thats the prelude i want...but i dont know if i would trade my celi...ive grown to it to much..i just want both..and the eclipse rs...^

My g/f has a 99 Eclipse RS re-painted lexas blue. (Changes colors) The 94-99 gs-t i hear have a lot of problems and the GSX. Thats why she bought an RS so she could turbo it and wouldn't worry about the problems as much.

The eclipses of that year were ALL prone to crank walk unfortunatly, turbo cars just showed the problem more often. By boosting that car your going to heighten the problem, the trannys arnt exactly rock solid. But a nicely done well tuned eclipse is a nice freeway drive. Not trying to put you down, my friends gone through 3 haha.

But if i had to choose, 05' Long Beach Blue NSX w/ Onyx leather interior on gold Volk TE-37's.
(talk about being specific)

Yeah, the dreaded crankwalk problem.

I've read over on clubdsm that it affects certain years as well. Not any of the newer ones (98-99 GSX/T), but, the mid 90's were prone to the problem.

Also, as I understand it, you can get it fixed by Mitsu because they identify a problem associated with crankwalk as a malfunction, but i'm not entirely sure about it.

I'm trying to stick with a 98-99 GS-T/GSX if I can find one.

I've heard some of the RSX's have transmission issues, but yeah, they're definitely nice cars to own.

If you had to stay with Toyota and purchase something newer, what would you guys consider?

I'd probably try for a turbo'd 7th gen GT, or a hardtop 2000+ MR-S Spyder, with 2ZZGE swap.
