well, my ST was auto

but i would powerbrake it

so launch rpm would be ~2500rpm and 7 or 8psi biggrin.gif

with the wrx, lol 5500rpm and 10psi(i love launch control)

making boost while standing still is awesome

I completely agree with you, fwd and revving that high is no good. Hey tuffy you have quite a strong bite with that 3s, I was wondering if you did the shimless bucket conversion while doing headwork. Also what octane at what PSI do you usually run in your car with the gt35r, im finding some serious problems cracking 425rwhp on my mr2 and would love some advice if yoiu had some.

i have jun 272 deg camshaft kit (inc. titanium retainers and high pres. springs) triangle valve job, full race porting and polisind on head. with that set up i can have rev. limit arround 8400rpm easly.
i am running with 100 octane fuel. 0.95 bar daily 1.5 bar at race. i have gt 35 r 1.06 a/r that starts arround 3500 rpm and have max boost at 5300 rpm. that means i need high rpm at launch and when shifting.

You guys are launching too high. For general dry pavement and typical tires, hold it at 1500rpms and dump the clutch--zero wheel spin and no rpm loss, just straight power and traction. You'll have no trouble smoking almost any car up to 40mph.
EDIT: for 5S.

not a bad idea, i tried it but it doesn't take off as quick as if i launched at 3k when the tires hook

I always lauched at 4,400 rpm, right where our the 5s's torque peak is. You gotta slip the clutch tho, or it's wheel hop hell.
