I want to put a header into my 94 GT. I saw this one: http://www.1supertoyota.com/products/rd10.htm

it looks great, 10-14 hp increase would exceed my expectations, but it says "intended for race and track use"... and I've got to meet california emissions! I will still be using a catalytic converter, so what do you think? will it still pass? and is this thing street legal?

if not... got any links to other 6th gen 5sfe headers?

lol, good luck passin cali emissions with a header. Chanh knows his stuff though about passin cali emissions. I love my header. Sucks though cause of the noticeable amount of lost low end torque. Ouch.

I got that one too. You will need a gasket for the downpipe and one for the sensor. I don't think it will pass
smog since it has no cat in it. Buy that stuff you pour into your gas tank to help you pass smog.

but can't you still use a catalytic converter? and run Header--->cat--->exhaust pipe--->muffler ? I was under the impression that that's how it goes. if not, please correct my ignorance.

This header replaces the main catalytic converter which is bolted to your original exhaust manifold. So when you install the header it will bolt up to the front pipe. So the layout is header-front pipe-secondary catalytic converter-mid pipe with the resonator-tail pipe with muffler.
