for HID's to work properly, don't you need projector housings, so it doesn't give off mad amounts of glare, because the stock is frosted/cut/angled?

Mine are blue-ish, as you can see in the pic below. Bought these at a Circuit City or something out of necessity for about $14~, the second pic shows you what the box looks like in case you want to find a pair.
I really like them though, they're just a better looking bulb to me than a plain yellowish looking bulb from off the shelf.....plus they take to photos nicely. If you want bright, HID is the way to go. ![]() ![]() -------------------- 3rd gen ST205 3SGTE - Alive and boosting. |

i gave up the whole headlight thing.
I use to want blue head lights, and then i wanted the silver stars. But i found out that yellow is best visablity for our eyes. So stock headlights are the best for night driving. |

Yea, yellow really is the best color visability-wise. However those Nokya bulbs like pandakid and I have are pretty bright and clear, I love them.

if you run bulbs that have higher wattages than stock (65watts) doesnt it melt the harness? it looks to me like the nokya's run at 100W...
can someone please clarify/correct me please |

Running high wattage bulbs are a bad idea.
Bulbs that have a blue tint are not only illegal, they have TERRIBLE visibility. -------------------- |

I was thinking about getting the higher Tempts... such as the 30000K HID XENON...usually for show cars, but i want the strongest lights out there...is it illegal to have show lights...I also like that dark birght purplish color...i know that at 12000K, you get that bluish purple glow and see well enough, but me personally, i like the 30000K HID lights...more intense and brighter...

30,000?! Are you out of your mind?!
Its not brighter per say, its just hotter, and your visibility decreases. OEM HID equipped cars come at 3k-5k. 30K is just fuggin ridiculous. I have a 8k and its got a purple tint. I would not recommend 30k, I almost fell outta my chair. -------------------- |

I dunno, I seem to have perfectly fine visibility with my Nokyas. The higher wattage concerned me a little bit af first because I knew stock was like 65w, but figured what the hell.
No melting at all though, and I've had them on for many months now....if they were then I would've ripped them out by now. -------------------- 3rd gen ST205 3SGTE - Alive and boosting. |
