QUOTE(LewFX @ Jun 6, 2006 - 1:05 AM) ya i kept everything when i get it smogged. so theres no way at all that it will pass!? well you just cut the catalyst to less than half so no. You might want to look into a universal cat that is meant for a 2.2L engine. I won't be able to pass my car either but with the start-up smoke I wouldn't think it would pass anyways. If the second O2 sensor was after the second cat it might get a low enough reading to not trigger the CEL. |

try getting a universal cat thats meant for a large V8, 5.7-6.0L. with that inplace of your stock cat it should have enough capacity to let you pass. if not then just run the big cat and your stock cat.

no, dont do that. extend the sensor and have it placed after the cat converter. that should eliminate the problem, or get an O2 sim.

http://www.club3g.com/forum/showthread.php?t=55284 if the sensor looks like the one the 3G eclipse uses then you can try that solution, otherwise theres actualy things called O2 simulators, search them online and you should find them or find out more about them, possibly how to make your own.
