Hey, guys! I just got an ACT Xtreme Race Clutch kit installed on my celi, which by the way, has an all-trac motor converted to or being used as a front wheel drive. I drove it to NY from NJ and it was moving well in all gears except for 1st and 2nd, which had no power (though the car is not tuned yet). Now it refuses to move when in gear even in reverse. I have to call my mechanic this week, but does anyone know what the problem could be, and why there was no power in 1st and 2nd except for 3rd, 4th and 5th???

Sorry about the font size!

your letters are big...i've never heard this problem. You're going to need a little more info about the tranny for any of us to help you out.

probably your clutch. Just moves in the final gears because its a gradual acceleration. dont know for sure without driving it. good luck!

If you converted the alltrac tranny to run front wheel drive. I'll bet thats why you are having this problem.

did you do the conversion yourself?
did you swap the clutch yourself?
are you sure the conversion was done properly?
at this point, with the limited information, i have more questions than answers.
sounds like either the clutch is slipping,
or somthing was not done right in the conversion.

The conversion was professionally done and so was the clutch. Hopefully, the problem is as minor as the clutch slipping. I am using a manual transmission that came with the all-trac 3SGTE motor.

Thanks for all your input, guys!

thats your problem then. youll only get about 50% power to the wheels with that tranny. just because you paid someone do it dosnt mean they knew how to do it right. using the awd tranny is NOT recomended by 99% of all swapers.

is the car going into 1st and second? Now the shifter cables have to be modified in that car to work with that tranny. take some pics of the shifter cable brackets.... thats just one possibility..

Another could be the clutch.. Its really hard to say without seeing it in person
