Pictures from high School car show Options

Went to a local high school car show this weekend. Was a bit disappointed because only 27 cars came out. about 18 hot rods. Most of those guys were pretty nice except for a few that were pretty rude towards the import cars. At the end of the show a local newspaper wanted to take pics of the Scions since there were 8 of them and the american car owners did a burn out so that all the smoke got in the picture. It was pretty lame. Below are just a few pics. Best Import was voted by everyone there and a 1970 something Bug took it which was kinda lame. Luckily it went to a kid though but that was obviously voted by the hot rod guys who didnt want it going to an import cuz my friend Shawn should have taken it with his Xb.

not really a big fan of them either. i think they're alright, but not for me. nice pics though. and i didn't drive in high school either. had to bum a ride off friends and parents everyday.

The Bb sells 4 to 1 compared to the Xa in japan, they expected it to be better sales here in the states for the Xa (hense all those commericals). Unfortunalty they are Bb 10 to 1 to the Xa's.

Its a nice quiet roomy car, better than any bedroom of an SUV prancing around. The H2 gets 1mpg at WOT, So all in all for those who use the room it ain't so bad.

But wow, you have a lot of rich kids who go to your school haha, my old highschools car show was civics, and a bunch of other people with like 1 or 2 mods.

That's an awesome bike rack on that lowered xB. Is that custom?

I like some xB's. Stock ones are gross. Lowered ones with bike racks are gross. The only decent one there is the silver one, but it has too much bling in the trunk.

Also, why were you at a high school car show..?

it was a high school show as in a show put on by a high school to raise money!

and i love the boxes! Those guys are the nicest group of guys ive ever met. THey are so welcoming to any cars.

Ya know what happened to pretty much all you guys harping on me if I called a car ugly? Take your own advice and dont say anything if you cant be nice!

I didn't say you were in high school. I'd hope you aren't, bc you're 21. I thought maybe your Scion buddies were. Whenever I hear "high school car show" I think of the carshow that some schools have at the end of the year. That's why I asked what you were doing there. .

u shoulda seen the cars that were in our high school parking lot. One kid got a Dodge Viper for his b-day when he got his liscence and got a BMW X5 as his "beater." I hate that kid.

not to start anything but how are people being hypocritical? Because not everyone likes the XB? That doesn’t make someone a hypocrite... I’m confused. I'm not being rude IMO, i don't like the XB and its square body makes it look like a box to me. I don't doubt the people who drive them are nice people. I just don't agree with their taste in cars.

As far as this statement goes, we were "harping on you" because you posted someone’s car on another site and bashed it. Not to mention a Celica. We are all Celica enthusiasts and that was you bashing "one of our own" I personally don't think that relates to people simply voicing their opinions on the XB, which clearly is box shaped.

i very much agree with Tina. the xb's just don't look good in my eyes, they're far too square and box-like. but we're not bashing the owners... or really the vehicle at all, just saying we don't think it looks good. i don't really see a problem with that. why own a vehicle for everyone elses opinion? i did my car up in my own taste and i think it looks good and that's what matters to me. if someone else doesn't like it, that's their problem, don't look at it. i'm very open to comments on my car, good or bad, i think everyone should be. sometimes you get the best ideas from constructive criticism on your work. some people just shouldn't take it personal.... it's just a car....
