I would go with a rebuilt 4AGZE and mated with a sc14 (Previa S/C) 12psi pulley and some type of fine tuning.. with that you should get around 220-230whp

personally, i'd get the blacktop. but that's cuz this is my daily driver so i don't really wanna deal with the gas mileage and maintenance of a turbo-charged engine. plus its a pretty powerful na engine at 165 hp stock compared to our weak 110 hp. should have no problem taking on (some) ricer hondas.

THE HORSE POWER RATING WILL CHANGE DEPENDING ON WHAT 4AG HEAD/PISTONS YOU USE
SMALL PORT AE92/ETC HEAD BIG PORT AE86/MR2/ETC HEAD SLIVER 20V HEAD AE-101/ETC BLACK 20V HEAD AE-111/ETC IF YOU WANT TO STAY N/A AND GO 7AGE THAN I WOULD SAY GO SILVER TOP + PISTONS IF YOU WANT TO GO 7AGTE THAN IMAO I WOULD GO BIG PORT WHICH HAS MORE SUPPORT FOR PARTS AND CHEAPER PRICE THAN 20V DO OTHER WISE GO 4AGZE WHICH IS BUILT FOR BOOST AND SLAP A TURBO ON THERE OR SILVER HEAD LOW BOOST (IF YOU NOT TOUCH THE INTERNALS) -------------------- yea your 3sgte is cool but ill stick to my 7agte

I haven't starting buying but I've done most of my research. I'm looking at $1k for parts including a badass turbo (not big, just badass).

I would stick with the 4A series that don't have VVT. Support is very expensive and rare to find for the models with VVT. Full race cams for the 4a ST runs up to 1K$ on Toda, and Pistons and stuff run high.
Most people who built there silvertops went back and relied on the 4agze engine for parts to boost high. If your looking for boost go with the 4agze at least you can go to autozone and buy a water pump for it, but im not too sure on the swap part tho on the celica. Its pretty cool to say that you got a supercharger on you celica! |
