I need some ideas so my car would atleast be decent in like acceleration and stuff and atleast keep up with other cars. i need to buy and get some performance mods but i don't know what to get my St is completly stock

It's easy just get a cold air intake, a bypass valve, header, hi-flow cat and a straight through muffler. That is all that I have and mine does prety good. It gets up to speed pretty quick and on the cool temp days it does even better.

V 6 mustang is no problem for ST. I won by the car length on 1/8 mile 2X. So if you know how to shift right, you can have a little fun with some cars.

Mustang was Auto, that's why I won. But I was laughing all the way to the finish line. My mods are just intake and muffler. I'v got A/C off the car and I thing my car is lighter than regular ST because I did a swap auto to manual. That way I thing car is little bit lighter for some reason. Weight compensation from factory. But I'm not sure. Do you gus know what is the weight diff. between ST auto and manual?
V6 mustang is really bad choice by the way. And also gas milage is pretty bad. Go Celica....

We have the same problem. Unfortunately I'm addicted to torque so I'm building a turbo kit with as fast spoolup as I can get. intake/exhaust wouldn't be enough for me, and for now I actually enjoy the quiet and smooth ride of my ST.

my prizm would be lucky to put down 80-90whp untuned through this automatic. however i think i can get a good deal on an aem wideband and a safc2 and tune it myself for another 8-10whp. then i'd like to take it to a dyno for a run and maybe have them take a whack at my tune and make any improvements to it. the added power is just a side effect to me, the fuel mileage and most importantly, the learning i get from this are what i'll value the most.

the 80whp was a guess so far.. Are you getting a stock dyno run before installing or tuning the safcII?
