Also it looks like you left the engine bay the same old color... Did you JUST paint the exterior and not worry abut the engine bay, trunk, door jams.... frown.gif

Yeah, as a matter of fact I specifically told the shop guys not to paint in the engine bay at all. I wouldn't trust if they messed up the wiring and all the other minor things like that. If anything I'll be able to do the engine bay repaint myself since I have the resources at home. But more than likely I won't bother because I was more concerned about the outside really. Oh, and everthing else like the door jams, trunk, and under the hood got repainted. Only the engine bay was untouched.

Honestly, it may be less powerful than a 3sgte celica....but it still is a kick a** ride to be driving around. It has alot more power then the 7AFE that's for sure. But it's only noticeable when you rev high enough for the vvt to do it's job. The engine's a screamer at 7+ rpm. I wish I could get more power, but I am satisfied with the outcome of the car. TOP END POWER biggrin.gif

Great job dude and great swap. No offense, but spending close to $10,000 is a bit much for the results you have though. Did you get rip off a lot along the way of finishing your car?

I'd say the rip off had to be doing the body work and paint job. Cost like $4600 to do it (I replaced all the rubber weatherstripping, new hood, and the new oem spoiler). Then came the a/c system. Cost me about $1500 to fix it (There was tons of leaks, but I don't know why frown.gif ). To do all of the p/s and a/c lines cost me like $250. Then sending the harness to Dr. Tweak cost around $400 the first time. Then about $170 the second time because I was having problems. That cost alot because I want sending it express mail to him or 2 day shipping. Then about $1200 with shipping for the rims and tires from tirerack. And everything else like the engine, afm, and new cap, rotor, t-belt, and external reservoir was the rest. Maybe around $2000 for all those. So yeah, almost $10,000 of investment into the car. I actually feel sour about spending so much, but the Celica is my favorite ride, so to me it was worth it wink.gif

Oh, and I forgot to mention that the Tein S. Tech springs was part of the overall amount. I think it was little under $200 if im not mistaken. And now that I think about it, there is only a limited amount of paint shops on Maui and the place I went to paint it was the best price. There was shops that estimated $6000+ to repaint with door jams, truck, and hood. mad.gif But what's done is done.
