heat guns are great tools to have but they're not for the novice try a lil nail polish remover carefullyy acetone or laquer thinner

i cannot stress this enough carefullllyyyyyy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and the dents you can sometimes go behind the panel and massage upwards and get some of the dent out and if the press board is broken you might try some paper mache techniques useing cardboard and wood glue or mix a little fiber glass resin and cloth to give the area support

I have the opposite problem...whats the best way to put the cloth back? I like the cloth, but i can find a decent adhesive that will last longer than a couple of weeks.

some good ole fashioned 3m headliner adhesive after you clean the vinyl with a strong solvent like laquer thinner or acetone to get allllllll of the silicone and glue that may be on there off IPB Image

these are done with marine grade vinyl in the metalic blue places

trust me i worked for several years doing interior upholstry thats about the only way to get it to stick the vinyl over the years with all tha armorall and care products leave alot of trace silicone and waxes in the vinyl they have to be striped of all that before any glue will hold

OK.....so I've tried everything u guys suggested....overall I've tried googone, paint thinner, denaturated alcohol, acetone, heatgun, even scraping it with one of those painters scrapers.......nothing.......the glue is still hard as rock and the heat gun and the lacquers even messed up my vinyl a little......now I've got some goofoff that i wanna try and if this doesn't work I think I'll just cover them with new cloth. Thanks to everyone and other ideas are still welcome.
