you dont need a new engine lol.

you're burning a little oil past the valve stem seals, not uncommon.

you're idling rough, just regap the plugs back to specs.

to slow the leaky seals, suck a little trans fluid into the intake manifold and then crank the engine a couple times to get it all over the valve stems and seals. let that sit for about 24 hours. that will help to soften the seals and make them pliable again.
when you change the oil, add about 1/2 QT of trans fluid about 100 miles before you change oil with every change, that'll help to keep the seals soft.

ive been doing the above and ive stopped burning oil from the valve seals.

That's nothing, you wanna try owning a ford. They take more oil than petrol LOL. Don't give up on it yet... if you can be bothered whip the head off and replace your valvestem seals, it'll be good as new for years. If you can't be bothered get a garage to do it for you. It may cost a bit but it'll be cheaper than a engine swap and probably be a more permenent and reliable fix. You should only consider an engine swap if you have low compresion and/or ticking/ clunking noises. Even those can be fixed but at that point engine swap or recondition is better.

Good luck
