I went over to a friend's house this morning and we put on my coilovers. It was a little more complex than I imagined, but he had a few nice tricks. One of those tricks is this- before putting the gas insert into the front struts, fill the strut with a little bit of anti-freeze, it will help with the heat exchange inside.
We were lucky enough to have his air tools and a table grinder to work with, since the spring perch in back is too small to fit. I will post pictures of before and after tomorrow maybe, depending on what I do after work. I do have to say this: it rides nice!! It isn't a bouncy ride, and it isn't like you have no suspension. It feels like a stiff stock setup. We didn't lower it too much, because I didn't have camber bolts. I would say maybe 1.75-2 in front and 1.5-1.75 rear, but we got it aligned good enough for it to be put off until tomorrow after work. Camber isn't bad. Not really noticeable unless you are looking for it.

Overall I am happy with my purchase. It feels like the Celica should.

...maybe there will be a shot of a nice 4A somewhere in this thread a little later.... biggrin.gif

I think my girlfriend has my transfer cable for the camera, so no pics today. Won't be able to tomorrow, since I have work and then school. Thursday though.. keep looking around. They'll be here...

Didn't clunk around much right when we put them on, but after it sat all night and drove all day today they are clunking away. little clunks, not big ones. It'll work itself out.

The KYB's were 225 shipped and the GC's were off eBay for 329 shipped. ....simple math...554 total.

I took this one with my phone, not great quality, but this is what you get until I get my transfer cable..

I was very fortunate to get them. There was a shop in Minn. that was liquidating, so I picked them up the day they were listed. mmmmmmm. Handling is so nice. There is a road around town that is ~10 miles of twists and turns. I like! Maybe I can get a friend to hold my camera whilst I drive.
