Hello,

had a horrible drive to work, today went up a very steep hill from a stop with only 3 cylinders fireing. I work in downtown seattle and have to make it up some of the steapest hills, usualy no big deal just sucks but today I stopped at the light on the hill, then started to take off, when lost massive power and grinded the clutch like a b***h to get it moving, wile cars all around getting pissed. got to the parking garage and wile it was running like crap poped the hood to find that again It had ejected one of the spark plug wires, literaly it was shoved like 1/2 way up for no reason (3rd cyl,) (I call bs) it has done it before (always either the 2nd or 3rd cyl) but never in that bad of a place. I'm gana buy another new set of wires today from shmucks and hope for the best, but if It happens again before the motor is swapped I dont know what to do about it other then making a peace to go over the tops and forcefuly hold it down, never does it do anything more then poping the wire up, the plug is always fine and works perfect when the wire is shoved back on. only thing I can think of is maybe just a bad fit and the motor is shaking it off but its not at higher rpms and had never happend durring a race or anything, just when starting at a regular pace.

Any Idea's?

whats a good brand for wires, and why are the prices so high for "high performance" onces, there just power cables.

the only other time ive seen this happen before was when my friend didnt have his spark plugs tightened and it kept blowing the wires off. or maybe your wires could just be loose as well.

would have to exsplane that one to me. seems odd because its not like the spark plug is lose at all, nothing to "blow it out"

something close to that happened to me too....i loss a lot of power and it was boggling like crazy....shaking and clanking really bad...turned out one of the four new spark plugs IX Iridium was cracked as i pulled and uscrew all of them out to inspect...horrible...i had to go buy a new one...guessed when i installed it...i was too hard on turning it or placing it downwards to quick and it crack...check all the sparks to just be safe.

pull the offending cylinders plug, i'll bet you money that the porcelin has detached from the metal threaded portion.

got the "premium" wires from napa, way better then the shumcks crap, acutly a good tight fit, not having any issues now but may come back as it did with the others, got called into work so I had to do it quick and could not check the plug, will tomarrow though. the new wires are good but 2 of em the destributor end is backward so when pluged in its pointing down, the wire has to turn around and go up, totaly stupid but thats the way they came, and there the right set. there the exact lenth as stock and reach ok like that just look stupid.
