now that I see this I remember, there is a eclipse (AWD, leather, turbo from factory ) being sold by the shop where I go. IDK the price but I know the previus owner got tired of fixing the car up and sold it for nothing ( non running ) to the owner's son, now they fixed it up at the shop and they are trying to get a new customer. laugh.gif

the 4g63 powered dsm's can have alot of go-fast for relatively cheap. the stock t25 is a little small once you start modding, avoid the 420A if you want to make big FI power. interestingly enough....the 3rd gen eclipse (turd gen tongue.gif) 4g64 block mated with an evo 8 or 9 head can make some stupid BIG numbers, a guy i talk to in cali was putting down about 350whp at 10PSI when he was breaking the motor in. now hes up around 25psi and is at 450-500whp! thats a little too much for fwd imo, but still impressive from a 2.4L.

I've been researching an eclipse, and I think it wouldn't be half bad, if you were to keep up with regular maintenance, and do something about the crankwalk.

A lot of these people who bitch about crankwalk, also beat the ever living **** out of these cars. It's coming from mostly younger kids who wind up pushing like 9000psi and wonder why the thing broke. Granted, it is a manufacturing defect, I believe it only affected certain years and it doesn't happen with every single eclipse out there.

I'd try to get a later model eclipse GSX / GS-T (96+) and make damn sure the crank & sensors were alright, before I started doing anything serious.. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
