Couple of minor things I need help with:
First off, I was finishing the gauge install last night, and the 1/8 adapters I bought to Tee the oil pressure sensor did NOT fit in the block. It's just ever so slightly larger than the oil pressure sending unit on the GTE (the threads that is). Does anyone know the SPECIFIC size of the threads/adapter on the sending unit. I'm planning on hitting Lowes or Home Depot later today for the adapters (brass air/plumbing adapters). Second, is it possible to have a very tiny boost leak that would cause the idle to suddenly be in the ~500 range (and rather bumpy) without having a pronounced affect on how the vehicle runs otherwise?? My idle just started staying at a semi-unstable 500ish RPM instead of the normal rock solid 700 RPM. The ONLY thing I messed with last night was the gauges, but I did have the ECM unplugged and tapped the switched 12v wire on the 22pin connector for the switched source for the Nexus gauge control module. The SMT6 wouldn't have dumped because I disconnected the battery would it? That just occured to me. I will say this: The Autometer Nexus gauges are cool. The only one I've got working is the Boost/Vac, but it's extremely quick to respond and from what I can tell very accurate.
