that doesnt sound right, i dont even remember having 4 fingers before my springs. That sounds like a problem with the initial install, not with settling. I just installed my teins 3 days ago, and my front passenger is a little higher than drivers side. I think your problem is a little different than mine though.

Actually, the drop should have been correct since install. Now, comparing the back to the front, the front might be slightly lower because of the weight of the car. That is why retailers for example, the eibachs and trds say 1-1.5. My front trds are 1.5 and the back came out to 1. So you actually should not wait more than a good day of driving. Unless install is slightly off or the product(s) might have a defect.

ok... i am 100% sure the drop is uneven.. because i can barely fit 2 figers in the rear and i can fit like almost 4 fingers in the front... but here is a side view picture of the car and it looks fine??.. i dunno.. maybe i need a closer up picture showing my fingers in the gap?

Hmm.... it looks fine to me, since the celica has a small agressive stance at stock a 1.5 inch drop all around would still keep it at an angle would it not? kindasad.gif Other than that you could just being a little over critical of it? Ill probably be critical of my Tein S-Techs when i get them put on. Maybe the up close pic could help if you still think it looks wrong. wink.gif

The front will always be lower than the back, because the back hardly weighs anything. Plus some springs actually lower the front more than the back. IF you jack the front you will notice that its super heavy if you jack the back its super light. Hence put more air into the front and less in the back for tires.

The Drop will be lower in the back, it is how the suspension is designed. Mine wasnt fully droped until about 6 months.

Actually it should settle in after a bit of driving. A car is not light as you think especially on the springs. I don't think retailers wanna say see results in six months. We as customers don't want to wait that long either. you should see results after driving it for a short time. I've never heard of this scenario before but unless your shocks are weak already. As digndoug says, suspension is designed to be lower in the back, which I can say can be true too, and that is the way most new cars are designed, but spring manufacturers have already researched and tested spring design to anticipate that. For the most part, why do you think most springs have a lower drop in the front than the rear. then again, if that doesnt compensate, I've seen most cars drop the way they are suppose to.

Spring manufacturers take this into account and develop products with different front and rear spring rates.

I know exactly what you're talking about and had the same problem. Time didn't seem to help, so my good friend Mr. Sawsall and I went to work, cutting a coil off of each of the front springs to make the car sit even. Now I'm very happy with the drop...and cutting off an extra coil didn't seem to affect handling all that much. smile.gif

Here's one side done and the other side untouched:

hm.. i've driven the car about 300miles already... it seems to have dropped about... 1 finger width... hope i don't need to resolve to cutting...

reason i got the sportlines was i liked how all the cars i saw had a nice even drop

shouldn't be my struts since they are brand new as well
