Maybe large audio problem, maybe a blown amp? Options

ok heres the deal, got a new stereo deck, wired it in, everything it great. The only weird thing was a strange static in the right front woofer. Next day I go to use it and its not working, so i take it all apart, rewire it and its still not working. so i brought it back to best buy and they tested the deck, told me it was fine but it sounds like it could be a shot wire in the harness.

So then my idea was to test the power wire, see whats up, and re run a power wire from my ignition and that would be that. So i run the wire and i get power, but no sound. So i check the rest of the wires and they are all screwed, some arent giving me any power, some ae giving me negatives and whatnot. I check continuity in the harness, and thats fine, the next piece is the amp.

Anyone have any info on these amps and how i can test it, and/or replace it?

um, are you talking about the amp in the deck? no way to replace it its built in gana get a new deck, static from the speakers is commonly just engine noise, usualy cuased by a bad ground or a lose wire, if every thing is secure try grounding to a diff place (very big peace or metel)

try running a power wire right from the batt, and when you say no sound do you mean the deck plays the cd but does not send signal to the speakers. I've have the issue were the deck only sends bass to the speakers. try a diff deck with the same wires.

also I deff dont recomend every having best buy or cartoys install anything on your car, from my exsperiance they do horrible work and have no idea what there doing. I have had to fix tons of there crap for friends. way better off doing it yourself even if your new at it.
