so i was talking to a friend about fuel pumps and he sent this page for me to take a look at
http://roadraceengineering.com/fuelpumpflowrates.htm now my fuel pump has a resistor wired in with it, i beleive lagos said thats because it has 2 speeds? but i never hear the pump change speeds and it looks like the pump is wired in series with the resistor and i see no means for the resistor to be switched in and out of line with the pumps power. is the resistor there because stock the engine only needs soo much pump power and the resistor knocks down the pumps amperage draw allowing thinner pump wiring? maybe the turbo guys could get more out of the stock pump if they bypassed the resistor and ran a little heavier guage wiring to the pump? -------------------- |
