I thought I was having a bad day, but while in the process of changing my brake pads I found out that my driver side CV axle boot ripped. NICE! Now I'mma have dish out more money into the car. Since my boot is ripped and there seems no problem with the axle, is there a way I can just replace the boot?

If the boot just recently ripped you should be ok but if its been like that for awhile with dirt getting in their not a good idea either way it'll be easier and better to just replace the whole DF axle, I have a spare boot and grease for the pass side I don't know if their interchangeable but if you want to give it a try its yours.

It's been a while since I replaced my brake pads so I'm not sure when it ripped. I did remove my fender wall yesterday, but don't recollect seeing any grease. My best bet is to replace the whole assembly I guess. Suppose it's my time to have my car down....good thing I don't work for now....otherwise I'd be in a hurry or takes weeks to finish.

It sucks now, but I'm thinking that once this is over, it's gonna drive like a champ and a while before I touch anything again. Woot woot!

Big thanks to Will for helping me today with the disassembly of the 7afe. The CV Joint has been replaced by an unknown method that is only accesible to Blizzard Tuning, lol. Thanks to Greg for showing up and cheering the team on, he did help with my polished valve cover and grommet install. Tomorrow's another story.

99GT: There's plenty of celicas on craigslist. A nice mint celica? No, not a chance in Minnesota other than Will's 3S swapped which sadly has been sold. I know of only one other guy that wants to sell his celica, Chivong, Silver 99 GT. Other than that out of state homie.

hey guys my fam's havin a goin away party for me on Saturday. it'll be all day long but I think it will be better at night time (old relatives that I don't know will be there in the morning/daytime). address is 13998 Starlite Drive Rogers 55374. Will be food and asians (lol greg!). i'm going to Basic Training next wednesday for 4 months. hopefully I will survive and make it through!!!

The more I think about this tune-up the more I believe that things happened for a reason. When me and Will thought that we could just put all the parts back on and fire her up, things kept getting in the way of it (motor mount issues, lost bolts, crank pulley, etc) So instead of rushing things to get done, I guess it was fate that we had to get the small little things fixed that needed to be done that we could of skipped. By taking it slower we were able to find new problems that occured or could have occured.

Sorry, no celica at the meet for me. Will also have to wait til monday (if we're lucky) to get the parts in from Toyota to complete this monster 7afe N/A motor.
