Ok, so im quite sick of my OEM tranny. Not a big fan of the gear ratios in it and how im at pretty much 4000RPM constantly trying to keep up with traffic. So i have a friend of mine who has a 5th gen with a 3s swap that got hit and his cars a write off, but he has a Camry V6 tranny with the LSD. Im just curious, whats the difference between the gear ratios? Like a listing of ours, and a listing of theirs? Im just looking for somethin thats gonna make me run a lil lower RPM on the highway.

Longer gearing better gas mileage... able to stay in gear for alot longer. Its an all around better trans. Wouldnt put it on your 5sfe its really only good for a 3sgte and to swap it its not cheep.

why you say you wouldnt put it on my 5s? Im thinkin of puttin it on the 5s due to the amount of torque im pushin out. When i leave the parkinglot at my work i always get wheel skip on one side. Im building my 5s up and im gonna hopefully be gettin around 170whp when im done, so i need a tranny thats not gonna slip. Instal of it, not a worry. My buddy owns a shop and will do it for $100 and a 12 pack of beer.

the gear ratios will suck in N/A form.

I think you're worried about the wrong thing. Poor gearing can turn these engines into slugs. That's not to say the e153 will... but the amount of work for lower rpms during cruising is kinda irrational. If you want lower rpms just driving around... well... take my word for it when I say... no you don't. If you want it for fuel economy... well... most EVERYONE can improve fuel economy by as much as 40% simply by changing driving habits...
BTW... no offense... but you're not gonna make 170whp with a 5S unless you're turbo'ed. Too many negatives to work out to turn the 5S into an n/a horsepower motor. Either way... 4 cylinder n/a performance will always perform better with shorter gears... If you're dead set on taller gears... consider the S52.
