yeah, so I was work today, and I was on my break, and I saw the automotive ads section of a newspaper sitting there on the table, so I was flipping through it when I saw this add:

http://www.earlscheib.com/coupon.php

naturally, any add with a picture of a 6gc catches my attention. anyway, I was browsing the site, and I was thinking about how my car desperately needs a paintjob (pretty bad oxidation on the roof and hood kindasad.gif ) and was wondering if this: http://www.earlscheib.com/pro3.php was actually a good deal or not. it's not their best, nor their worst job that they offer, but the "pro 4" and "pearl package" seem to be the same thing but with an extra coat of "euro-clear" but for alot more money. just wondering, I always though paint jobs were more expensive, like $1000+ so to see one for $500-ish makes me wonder (359.95 in the coupon for that paint package)... what do you guys think?

Well, this company for some reason comes off as a MAACO which i have known to do some good work, and some bad work. The deal seems to be pretty good. I mean SIX YEAR WARRANTY how could you go wrong with that?

alright thanks guys! guess I'll get it painted there... now, I just want to get the rust around my back windsheild fixed first... how do you think that'll cost? here's some pics:

it doesn't go all the way through, but it's pretty bad. and do you think I should try to get this done at the same place? hmm... I should also probably try to find a new driver's side fender before I get it painted too, just cause mine has a pretty decent sized dent in it...

Earl Scheib has a bad rep. Look at the car in my profile. That was painted by Earl Scheib... So it's up to you... spend half the value of the car on a paint job... or pay a couple hundreds.

I think the paint job on your car looks really good actually! except the picture with your hood open, your front bumper seems like it's not that glossy, but probably just how the light hit it or something. I really don't care if it's not 110% perfect absolute show-quality paint. my car is a daily driver that I doubt I would ever enter into a carshow. I want it to look nice, but it doesn't have to be absolute perfection.

so why does he have a bad rep?

also, which "paint package" did you get from them?

i had my car painted by Macco, i wouldnt say that did a bad job for what i paid. But if youre a picky person when it comes to your car you will notice how you get what you pay for. When there is sand under the paint, and other imperfections
