okay, awhile back, i got a ticket for reckless driving.
the officer said i was going 60 in a 40, which i know that i wasnt. and he did not get me on radar.
he got me for reckless driving, illegal lane change, faiulre to use blinker, and following to closely.
Today, was my court date, and i went in. They gave me Two options. Either, take a plea aggreement, pay 500 dollars, plus go to a aggressive driving school.
Or plead not guilty, and come back another time, talk to a attourney, deside if i want to plead not guilty, or take the plea aggrement.

My mother , who still treats me as im a child, doesnt want me to take the plea, because of insurance rates going up, and i wouldnt be able to afford insurance? instead she insisted i pay 4000 for some lame ass lawyer to get the **** dropped. but i cant afford 4000 either.

do i fight it? do i get a lawyer? do i take the plea and say guilty? what do i do?
need hhelp, please.

well your best bet is to play guilty and pay the 500, if you come back with a lawyer 2 things can happen
1 - the police officer doesn't show up and you are off the hock
2- the police officer shows up and you cross your fingers trusting your life to the lawyer. ( not very good option )

I think if you pay the 500 they drop all the points as long as you take the driving class. but the deal change from town to town cause this is made to the discretion of the judge.

honestly, option 1 is the best choice. Id rather just have my insurance go up, then pay a lawyer a butt load of cash, and still possibly have my insurance go up.

pay the fine. go to class. get it taken off your record. drive more cautiously. that's the best solution.

but, i took a driving class when i got in my wreck. i thought you could only take a driving class to drop the points / remove from reckord once every two years?/ but that was a defenseive driving school, and thsi is a agressive driving schoool? so does that make a difference? they will still remove the points?
