 Keeping an Automatic Engine from losing HP/Torque, Plus Torque Steering |

I found out my car's engine is going bad. So I'm in the process of saving up for the V6 engine (1mzfe). I'm planning on putting an automatic in. I'd like to know if there is something I can add to stop the engine from losing HP/Torque when it's transferred to the Driveshaft?
