Bah. Thats how i would describe this summer. Its almost over in a couple more weeks. I cant believe it. School will be starting again very soon for me. But this summer was just so........ i dunno.... plain. Minimal progress was made on the celica, summer cruising and racing was a total let down as nobody was really out in comparision to previous years. High gas? Probably, but who knows. Seemed like all my old running around buddies were no where to be found as jobs and trying to pay bills had already overtaken my class of 05.
I am now entering my second year of college and its depressing. I have absolutly no idea what i want to do with my life. At all. Summer is supposed to be a time to figure all the sh*t out, and it just didnt happen or work out the way i planned. To make matters worse, this will be my last summer here at home for a long time. After next school year is when i join up with the military. And where ever that takes me, who knows. I guess, all in all, its just been a let down. When your in adolesance, summers seem to last forever because you dont have a care in the world. Now, a few years have gone by, and my, how the times have changed.

Yeah, summer changes as friends start living different lives. I went through 3 jobs this summer, so threfore accomplished notihng except for buying a celi...so I guess that counts for something.

I'm so not ready for school, and it's been going on for a week now. ~sigh~

i was thinking about school tonight at work, and my life, and where i wanna be in 5, 10, and 15 years. I know what i want, and where i wanna be, but its all the bits inbetwen that are totaly stressing me out. i had one of those "Why the **** am i here?" moments, and it kinda scared me. Im starting my second year in college in 4 days, correction 3 as i notice it is 12:30am on friday morning, and i am starting a new major. Im already stressing, 4 days b4 i have even entered a class room. My last semester was hell. I struggled to make grades, and was SWAMPED with homework. Good thing it ended when it did, because if it went anylonger there would have been major issues with passing. I'd get up in the morning to a SCREAMING alarm clock, and think to myself "not another day of the same bull****." Idk i honestly hope this semester turns out better then the last one did. (and the one prior to it, fall '05)

but on the topic of summer, i spent entirly to much $$$$$$$ and didnt make enough. Last summer i raked in over 4K, this summer im lucky if i made any. I went to 3 celica meets, and spent many weekends out of state. Had a girlfriend, lost a girlfriend, made new friends, lost old ones, delt with bull****, and dished out some of my own. This summer was uneventful, and a pretty HUGE let down.

End Rant

I have friends in the military, and they seem to enjoy it immesnsely...they love always having something to do and being kept busy.

I dunno...I have a plan for what I want to do and how to get there, and somehow that bores me. Some people are unnerved by thinking about how to get where they want to go, but I'd prefer a life where I had no ties and didn't know where I'd be in a couple years...

I know some people who travel all over, just serving at restaurants...they come to St. Thomas once in a while to work where I work in the summer, and they leave when they get tired of the island life...I think that sounds absolutely awesome...

...but I have a scholarship, and if I so much as mention "a semester off," it goes bye-bye and I go broke...
