I'm not sure if i'm going to keep my 6th gen or sell it but I am going to buy a 7th gen. The one i'm looking at is carbon blue (looks black). Its a 2001 GTS auto/manual. Sorry, what ever you say im not going to get a manual. leather-sunroof-side bags-alloys-60k mi. I have it on hold right now. Price is 12399 from dealership. The 6th gen I have needs work and is too old and weak. May keep it around for the hell of it or may post it to sell on here. Any comments? What do you think of carbon blue/near black color? Any suggestions on what to mod?

Thats definately the best route. Mind you, she already has the GT-S -------------------- ![]() |

QUOTE(sinner96ST @ Sep 10, 2006 - 7:00 PM) the 2000 models are the best to get, because in 2001+ they lowered the redline, and in 2003 they changed it to a drive by wire system. They lowered the redline in 2002. The 00' and 01' models both have the higher redline. -------------------- Teh Celica sleeps for Winter '06. Suspension overhaul begins........

Are you gonna upgrade your front and rear lamps to the post-facelift ones?

i heard they lowered it to reduce emissions and because ALOT of people who were new to a high revving manual were damaging the engines under warranty, things like missing a shift and bending valves or throwing a rod.

Thats exactly true. I spend some time on Newcelica and you hear stuff like that pretty often. -------------------- Teh Celica sleeps for Winter '06. Suspension overhaul begins........

I'm putting silverstars in it like i have on my 6th gen. i'll have LED lights in my tails. I'll also use nightshades. Thats exactly true. I spend some time on Newcelica and you hear stuff like that pretty often. I've been real easy on it since i'm not used to driving the thing. I've had a few 7th gen GT's try and race me, and then a RSX-s & s2000 tonight. Ditched the first GT and then didn't mess with the others. Mostly becuz the there were plenty cops out and I knew the RSX-s & s2000 would take me. I noticed a lot of ppl on newcelica were pretty hard on the cars. You talking about the add on to make the scoop bigger? I'd prolly just get a carbon fiber custom hood before i'd mess with that.
